BHPA Membership Conditions
I hereby apply for BHPA Membership as indicated in the options selected above, and confirm that the information I have given in this membership application is correct and complete to the best of my knowledge and belief. I understand that before I fly I must be physically and mentally fit to do so. Before undergoing any training I undertake to inform my instructor if I suffer from any mental or physical defect, infirmity, previous injury, disease or condition which could increase the risk of an accident or the severity of an injury. I understand that falsification of age will invalidate my insurance. I acknowledge that hang gliding, paragliding and their variants are extreme sports which come with inherent risks and that such risks may manifest themselves through no one else's fault. I accept that even when all proper care has been taken to ensure my safety, I may suffer loss or injury in which case I have no entitlement to claim compensation from the BHPA, its representatives or members, instructors, accredited schools and/or clubs. I understand that membership benefits will be those ruling at the time of my acceptance. I fully understand and accept the additional risks if I fly an uncertified wing with no acceptable independent verification of airworthiness (see BHPA Certification Factsheet). I agree to abide by the BHPA rules, regulations and operating procedures.
